Final day of IES

This was last day of IES program. But !! I was overslept and was late for class...I'm really sorry!!
Kazutaka made special present for us, which is a slides of picturs for 2 years!!! I was very glad to see them and had a great time. But at the same time, I felt sad because the time we studied together never com e. I feel time went through so quickly. and actually I cannot believe IES finished. I want to spend much more time with best friends.
Now, every one start to step on their own road. Some freind go to study abroad, and others start to study atCIE. I hope everyone enjoy their new life and we will meet together again in the near future.
Finally, thank you everyone!! best friends, teachers , and my family. It is great of all of you that I can stand here!! Thank you!!

Birthday Party

Today is my( our b's) teacher, PETER's birthday!! So, there was a birthday party in class. all classmates sung Birthday song for him. Also, it was a last Peter's class. ( In fact, tomorrow will be last...) He said there was no party last week, so it was a surprising party. He bought some snack, cream puff, doughnuts, and some drinks. These were so delicious!! Thank you, Peter!! Through the party, I took many pictures, and also Kazu took pics, and movie with Peter's DVD recorder. I think these will be a good memory and I 'm sure these will cheer me up when I feel alone. IES program is getting end. So there is a little time that we study together. I feel the time we study together will last everlastingly. I still cannnot believe IES will be finish. I want to spend rest time with a lot of fun with wonderful classmates!!

Hotel Rwanda

I saw the movie "Hotel Rwanda" last year in Peter's class. The movie had not showed in Japan therefore it was the first time to see it. However now it is showing Japan!! According to a article, the reason of not showing was the cost of distribution of the movie. Movie fans made a movement of collecting signatures for showing the movie.This movement bore fruit finally. Then, Paul, who is a model of main character, visited to Japan early this month, and told the young fans who made a movement that the message which could not listen to in the slaughter is now reached to people. I think this movie is not famous in Japan and there are many people who do not know that the movie is showing. But I want people to see it, and want to know what happend in Rwanda.

Never Gone Concert

I went to a concert of Backstreet Boys at Osaka Dome. There were so many people!!! How many people were there....??? I wonder where they came from for the concert.
I really enjoyed the concert, because I could listen to many songs I like and wanted to listened to. Their song were wonderful, and their dance were also nice!! They were so cool and I was excited !!
I know some people of b's went to the concert. Did you enjoy it ??
I cannot forget the light of everyone's cellphone. The sight of it was like a sky filled with many stars. It was so beautiful. And I think idea is not be thought of by Japanese artists becasue usually using cellphone in a concert is not allowed. Therefor e it was a rare experience for me.
I want to go to the concert again in the future!!

Homework...

This posting is homework that I have to write my opinion why students might read more male authors' book than female ones.
For me, this is a difficult question. I cannot think of answers right now. I think books students read depend on their teacher's decisions, and I do not know how teacher choose a book. But I think that one reason why teacher choose male auther's book than female is total number of books. We read the article that there were no opportunitiese for women to publish books, or express their opinion in the past. Therefore there are less books than male's authors', and there are more famous male's books. I guess teacher choose famous and good books. So students tend to read more male's book.
However, personaly I often read women's, and I think injapan there are many womderful female author. So I think the trend in students reading will be change in the future.

High School Reunion

On coming of age day, there was a party at Hilton Hotel in Osaka. Many friends in high school gathered and enjoyed hiving conversation, eating, and drinking. Almost all girl wore Kimono ( Furisode) , and they looked so beautiful!! Although I had not met them since our graduation, we could talk like we were students. So I was very glad to see them. The Bingo was held twice, and I was so close to bingo though, I could not won...I really wanted to get iPod nano!!! But I could really enjoyed the party, so I do not care!! The time to say goodbye was so sad, but I believe there will be a reunion again! and I've already been looking foward to meeting friends!!

Hi, everyone!! How are you doing??
It has past about one week since last class was over. Are you having fun time??
I am really missing you,B's, because it used to be natural to meet you everyday. I want to meet you and talk about winter vacation as soon as possible. I can't wait!!

Now, December is almost over and coming new year!! I am thinking what will be next goal for 2006. Only one thing I can say is ....I should go forward with everything next year . I will study abroad next year, so I have to prepare everything for it such as English skill... I strongly feel that I have to study more. And, I have to meet many friends as many as I can !!! Anyway, there are 3 more days to 2006, I'm gonna find other goals!!

Horrible Murders

There were two murders recently. Victims were girls who were first grade-students of elementaly school. I think these murders make children not play outside. When I was young, I could enjoy playing outside with my friends after school, However, if I were a girl like them, and other students in elementaly school, I suppose I would not enjoy playing outside, or I would be afraid to go out alone. The most terrified things is that criminal of the case in Hiroshima doesn't not have relationship with the girl . Therefore children can't play outside without the fear. I hope such a murder never happen again.

Kyoto

Hi, everyone! It's very cold recently...almost winter. I caught a cold recently, maybe because I and some b's went to Kyoto and Kobe last weekend. Kyoto, especially was really cold! But the view was so beautiful, wasn't it ?? I really enjoyed the short trip to Kyoto and Kobe. Thanks Michika for planning it! I really like these cities. Especially, in Kyoto you can enjoy seasonable view, for example, in spring you can enjoy a sight of cherry blossoms, in rainy season you can do beautiful color of green, and in autumn you can enjoy red color of leaves. I want visit more and I want to know much about Kyoto☆

Kimono

I went shopping with my family to buy obi (帯） for Coming of Age day. My grandfather bought Kimono for me before he died, so I have to buy only obi. I did not know how much kimono and obi were. Then I found out they were so expensive!! Do you know how much they are?? Obi costs about 2,500-3,000 dollars! Of course there are cheaper obis. However, their qualities are diffrent from expensive one. The clerks said that if you want to use obi for long time, you should buy high quality one, becasu pattern are mostly traditional, so you will not weary pattern of obi. Therefore I decided to buy traditional one. I really thanked to my grandfather to buy kimono, and to my parents to buy obi. And I hope everyone will like to Kimono for traditianal ceremony.

November has started and the Gaidai festival finished yesterday. I went to the festival and really enjoyed it !! I was glad that I could introduce my best friend to some member of b's.
I worked yesterday , and an acquaintance ,who worked together, visited at the store I work. I had not seen him since August, so I was so glad to see him again. In addition, yesterday's sales were larger than usual, I was glad for it.
Then....today, I took a walk with my dog, I found that every trees, I mean leaves, biside the roads, and on hills around my town are turning red and yellow. The view was so beautiful!!! I really feel that I am happy to live in my city because I can enjoy changing seasons without going out to somewhere. My dog also enjoy feeling seasonal breeze with her ears fluttering. So I really enjoyed walking today.

The crown prince of Japan came !!!

Hi ! How are you?? Did you watch the news on television??
Today, the crown prince came to my hometown for the festival. ( I don't know what festival it was). Many press came and waited for him, and many people did,of course. What I was surprise was...a number of policemen were standing the side of the roads. I've never see such a view in my city. Some policemen were standing a platform !! I knew that the festival was held near the station, but was it really need?? My mom said that many policemen were standing for the precaution against terrorism, but I don't think there would happen in my hometown...So I think that was a superflous warning. Anyway I was very glad for his visiting, though I did not see him.

Hi, B's and everyone. We, some b's finished the interviews today, we can be relaxed now, or after next monday?? I hope we pass the interview. During the interview, I strongly feel that I have to read newspaper, and books more, and and to know what's going on in the world. I could not say that I read books about what i am interested in, and I think I should be able to say yes! So form now on, I try to read many books and newspaper as possiple as I can.
Anyway, this week was so tough for me, because of the train accident, and homework. I hope November will be more pleasant. I feel time is passing so fast recently, and I had many things that I wanted to do, but I could not do them. So next month, I want to use time more effeciently and do a lot of thing!!

Hi, How are you doing?? I had part time job today so I am tired now...Every time I work, I cannot have rest, even if I work more than 6 hours! It's illegal !! And I have to teach some work to new co-worker, so it makes me more tired. It is difficult to teach something to someone, and I am worrying if they doesn't feel good about what I said.
Anyway , I feel relax today because I finished English interview yesterday. I hope every b's pass the interview. It is getting cold like winter, so we should care our health and be prepeare for next interview.

Yasukuni Shrine

Hi, everyone. Today, I am very happy because B's passed the exam for study abroad!!! I thought it was difficult for me to pass the listening and reading exams, so I am now very happy, and relaxed. Actually, we have two interviews later, but we can pass them !! I hope... we'll do our best on Suturday!!
Tomorrow, my group members will research about Yasukuni Shrine visiting for debate in class. I read newspaper today, and it is written about Yasukuni Shrine visiting few days ago. I'm not sure it is good or not, becasue I do not know why the prime minister Koizumi visits every year. So I strongly feel that I have to know about Yasukuni Shrine and Koizuni's thought.

About Weather

It is beautiful day today, not hot and not cold...It's very comfortable. However, I think the wearther is strange a bit recently. Sometimes the temperature is very high like summer, and sometimes cold. I think it is not autumn weather. That' s why many people catch a cold. Some of my classmates and I have interviews if we pass the exams for study abroad, so we have to take care of our health. I hope weather like today continues for a while.

I read an interesting and warm news today. A 60 years old man is arrested now in Akashi. The man asked the police to take his dog and cat with him. He said that please arrest his pets same as him!! He worried about them after his arrest. What happened on his pets do you think after his arrest??? The police didn't arrest his pets of course, but they are taking care of them fo r 2 weeks now!! I cannot believe this story at first, but this is good for him and his pets, right? He doesn't worry about his pets and they are now protected, so they are safe. This news make my heart warm★

I finished to take listening and writing exam for study abroad today. I'm not sure the result, but I am really relaxed now. I hope every B's pass the exam. However, I have lots of things to do...Maybe October will be busy month. Now, I really want to travel somewhere....I do not know why. So I'm starting to think of next vacation.
I read news today about population in the world. Now it estimates about 6,464,700,000 people in the world!!! Then, the population in thedeveloping countries are increasing, so it is said that states of women need to progress in such countries. I am interested in the poplation in the future.

Today, I found that in Thailand, the Government announced that people can get medicine for AIDS just payin only 80yen. This country has promote hard to reduce AIDS' pecients and now, the number of new peceints are getting down. I think it is very good to get medicene so cheap. ( I dont know it is expensive for people in Thailand) And other countries should follow these idea. AIDS is a serious problem, so everyone in the world, especially our generation, should think about this problem seriously.

Hot In Herre??

I went Nelly's concert!!!! That was sooo COOL!!! I really enjoyed this night. Acon was also sang some songs as the opening act, so I was very lucky. Nelly sang many popular songs and one of them is Hot In Herre. Like the title, the holl was so hot, and he is hot too,haha(^^) Actually, it was hot day today...hot and very humid! I think the rainy season is being over. It rained in Japan this year although few weeks ago we are worried that there is not enough rainy days. So, now I do not worry about water for this summer. However, I watched the news today and it was said that now Portugal is suffering from drought. It is so terrible and it is worst one in 50 years. I wonder people in Portugal can get food or water, or not. I think this drought affects to many countries including Japan. I hope it rain in Portugal, and other countries around there where are now in drought.

I'm gonna go to Nelly's concert with Erica, Michika, and Natsumi tomorrow. I am really lokking foward to it☆ So I have to finish Peter's paper by today... However I had a part time job and I was so tired. I'm not sure I can finish the paper and I can go to my bed...
Anyway, I found one thing when I worked. I ( all members of my co-workers) use used paper a lot. We use reverse of seal's paper to nate older. Also we used used paper for Fax, and copy. We used them because of reducing expenses. I noticed that it is very good to use used paper environmentally and economically. I think saving is good for everything around us. So I decide to save stuffs as many as I can!!

Hi! how was your weekend? It has rainig for a few days. That's wanderful isnt it? casue I really worried about lack of water for this summer. So I am happy although I do not like rainy season.
Do you know "the team minus 6%"? It's the project for environment. I didnt know about it, but I found on a web site and also a supermerket near my house joins this project. On the web site, you can see about "cool Biz", and mainly you can know about global warming. Do you know that people try to build windmill through fund-raising? I think it's a good idea!! I am really interested in this project. what do you think the number "28℃" is? The answer is recomending of setting temperature of air conditioner. Hi!!How are you going? It's almost July. I feel time pass really fast!! I think I has done nohting this month...But last week JR Fukuchiyama line run again and I came back to my house. My daily life that it takes 2 hours from my house to Gaidai. It is little hard but I again think about time management.
By the way, hot days has continued for several days. Is it really rainy season?? Ithink this weather is connected with Global Warming、because it is strange wether , now it is like summer>I heard that in some area, water is running short now. I wonder about this summer. Few years ago, we've had a poor crop of rice for lack of water, and we import rice from Thailand and other countries. In fact, I prefer to eat Japanese rice rather than others. So, I am afraid that similar things will happen again. I don't like rainy season, but now I hope it will rain sometimes because I'm sorry about trees at the park near my house cannot get enough water, maybe they feel really hot recently.

I worked at new store of cream puff this weekend. It opened last Monday, so it is clean and good place to work. However, soooo busy!!! Especially, on Saturday it was horrible(><) But it is good tendency for the store, isn't it? Today, I spoke English for a foreign visiter. I am happy that my English helped people. It is one of my purpose of studying English to communicate with foreign people. Anyway, when you come to Umeda, come and visit the store in Hankyu Sanbangai. There are many kinds of cream puff and pudding.
Recently, I looked or watched news about oil. I didin't care about it before I learned about energy, but now, I am really interested in this topic. I think after I have studied about global issues, I notice many things I have never been concerned such as oil, and food. For example, I take notice of temperature in a room. I think many people in the world concern about little things, the environment of the world would be better.

Hello!! How are you doing? Today is happy happy Friday!! Recently I really feel that days past so fast. I don't know why... Sometimes I worry that I do not do anything, just do homework everyday. I feel I have something else I have to do. Anyway, I'm gonna meet my best friend and go shopping @Kuzuha mall. That will be the first time for me to go there, so I am really looking foward it. I cannnot wait for it!!
I watched the TV proglam about a very wonderful person who acted for the crusade against cancer. I think Scott know about the person. His name is Terry Fox who died when he was young because of cancer. When he got first cancer and cut his left leg, he met a girl who also got cancer, and then died. He was really shocked and he decided to cross over Canadafor gathering money for reserach expense of cancer. He found sponsers, and started it. However, his cancer reappeared, therefore he had to give it up. Maybe he crossed half of the land. However!!! many people moved by his action, a lot of money are gathered. After his death, there is an charity activity called"Terry Fox Run" , which is, many people run marathon. It is practiced in 58 countries, of course in Japan, and many people who get cancer can get treatment and recover from the cancer. So he is one of the heros in Canada, and the hero of many patients of cancer.
I watched this proglam and very moved , I didn't know there was such a wonderful person and he helped lot of people! Strength of his will reached everyone in the world. It is amazing, isn't it?

Hello again!! Yesterday, after I wrote about Japanese solders, I watched a news program and I was really surprised!! The reason is ...it is perhaps not ture that there are not Japanese solders in Mindanao Island. At the same time, I was surprised the power of the media; newspaper, TV, and internet. Every mass media reported about the solders and every viewers might believe the information. In this case, there is a problem of source of information. But I think it is important that mass media report credible information and we consider the reliabikity of information. But it is difficult, isn't?

Hi!! How was your weekend? I just did part time job. But I enjoyed talking with my co-workers, and looking at cream puffs in the showcase, and yakitori and rice bolls which are sold near the store.The new store which I will work at will open at 13th June at Hankyu-Sanbangai in Umeda, so please come to buy cream puffs and see me!!
Recently, I was surprised the news that there are some Japanese Soldiers in Mindanao Island. I heard they are living in a dangerous area. How are they living?? I wonder they know that Japan lost World War II or they not know, and if they know the fact, how will they feel? I watched a video about another Japanese soldier came back in the past and he said, "it is unworthy that I come back Japan" I was very surprise when I heard the words. It is wonderful to survive, families will welcom, but he didn't think so. Will the solders in Mindanao also think it is unworthy to survive? It seems to be difficult to contact with them now, but I hope they can come back to Japan without feeling of guilty to come back. Everyone may welcome them.

About a job

Hi,everyone!! I came along to the orientation of internship today. It was very interesting and I got many information about it.
Yesterday, I got very joyful news!! My old sister passed the employment exam, so she can work after her graduation next year. My family were very reliefed about it. I knew how hard to get a job through her job hunting.
So, now I am very interested in employment in the world. Recently I was able to know the relationship between population growth and unemployment in class. But how about other countries, I mean, other developed countries, and developing countries. And I want to know how is job hunting in other countries. Are there job hunting like Japan?? I have a lot of questions about employment. So now I want to know much about employment in the world.

I watched the TV program which are related with "If the world were a village of 100 people", and one of today's topic was a girl who lived around the mountain of trash in Philippine. I learned poverty in class, so I thought I know a little about poverty. However, actually I did not know about it at all. The girl in Philippine are gathering trash to get money for her family. Only her work in her family. She is 12 years old, and she can't go to school. However she never complain about it.
While watching this program, I was thinking what i or people who can live without privation can do for them, and what I should do for them. Besides, everyone should know the situation in the world; there are many poor countries. At the same time, I felt I am so happy and I should do thank my daily life such as going school, eating what I want to eat,and so on. I should not complain anything of my life, because I live without any privation.
In addition, one question came into my mind. That is; in Philippine some people are rich, and why the gorvernment practice to solve this situation, or is there any action to solve it there?
I think we should know about poverty, and the program made me rethink more about poverty and my daily life.

I went to USJ 2 days ago with children of my cousin. There were so many people!!!We had to wait for 3 hours to ride the Spider-Man(><) And we had to wait to buy something to eat or drink for 15~30 minutes! So as you see, there were so many people there, of course there were many people from foreign countries(travelers?)
After I read the textbook about population, I wondered how many foreign people are living in Japan?? Is it one of reasons that population of Tokyo are still large? So, I am lookingo forward to learning about population now.

The train accident

As you see,there was a big train accident last Monday, it happened the line I use, so I was very surprised and at the same time, I was really disconsolate about it. Now, I am little scared to get on a train.
There was a very sad news for me today, it was a death of one of my friends in an elementary school. She was in the train. I was so sad and I still cannot believe in the truth. Before the accident, I thought trains in Japan are safe. Also I heard that especially Japanese bullet trains (shinkansen) are safe as compared with ones in other countries. Now I don't know what vehicles are safe.
In the accident, many people died at the same time, and the fact makes me think about lives. In the world, how many people die in a day? I felt that now is the time for me to think seriously about lives in the world.
Finally, I'm sorry that this post is too gloomy, but I want to tell about what I'm feeling now. I will write happier one next time.

Hi!! i read the text book becasue it is homework!! and think about global issues,especially poverty. Before I read the article of poverty, I felt that although global issues affect on our lives, they are not close problems for me. I mean, I know a little bit about issues like environmental stuff and so on, but I don't know what can I do for them. HOWEVER!! I remember that I did some things when i was in high schoool. At a cultural festival, I read a picture book about hunger in Ethiopia to let people know about the hunger. In addtion, students send christmas cards for children in Uganda which is a poor country. (Miki,do you remember about it?) So now, I strongly feel that global issues relate to my life, and I can do something if it is a small action.

I want to improve my reading skill and writing skill. And also, I want to know a lot of new words because I felt my vocab was so poor when I stayed Australia last spring vacation. I think if I know more words, I can read and write somethin faster than now.　SoI think I should know and remember many new words. In addition, I want to( have to!) check my grammer because my grammer was horrible when I wrote reserch paper last year.
Anyway, my real goal is keeping up with IES class!!
